The Cinematic Orchestra to Release ‘Late Night Tales’!
Having just recently relocated to their third country, The Cinematic Orchestra is ready to release their first DJ mix album. The UK gone France gone Brooklyn based band has set the date for their own Late Night Tales.
Following in suit of Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, and Belle & Sebastian, the highly anticipated new record will be released March 30 of this year. Said to be one of the more solid versions of the Late Night Tales series, Cinematic Orchestra includes their own song “Restaurant”.
The series is meant for bands and DJs to adequately express their favorites and pay homage to fellow artists. The Cinematic Orchestra’s picks clearly show their influences – choosing jazz tracks like “The Rain” by Eddie Gale and the entrancing “Joga” by Bjork. The album concludes with an exclusive cover of “Talking About Freedom” with Fontella Bass herself which leads into the third segment of Will Self’s spoken word “The Happy Detective.”
